The owner of a Real Estate company wishes to use two large screens in the windows of the business to display property listings. This project will require a slide show presentation (FLASH) which will profile and cycle through each property listing. The content for the slide show will be dynamically imported from the web site database (MySQL), and the images can be linked directly via the web site. (GHEEK.COM Inc. produced their web site)
Variables will be retrieved from the MySQL database fields for the name of the property, description, image names, and price. The number of images will vary for each property.
Each profile will include the name of the property, the description, and price. The company logo and contact information will remain static. The image slide show will fade between each image. Each property will cycle through all the available images, move on to the next property, then reply from the start.
A configuration file must be incorporated into the design of this project in order to allow changes to be made without changing the original program. The config file will include dynamic variables, but is not limited to: directories, database connection, number of profiles, presentation speed and timing, property order, etc.
A temporary database copy will be made available to the development team, and the project will be hosted from a subdomain to allow an easy transfer to going live.
