Google+ why the need to shift from Facebook
| News |
There was a tweet in my timeline on Sunday reading: "I guess you can't see who's checking out your profile on googleplus. That's definitely a plus for me".
Well my curiosity to check how good it is and I found it's just the same old thing; upload a new picture, put a brief description about me and hit the button and there you go, a new social networking profile.
I wondered if Google+ is the answer to Facebook by Google. If so why should I migrate from Facebook when I have all my contacts attached there.
A close introspection and I learned Google+ is quite a face-lift with good improvement to take over the reigns of facebook. The Search engine giants kept the hype and the sudden rush of users forced Google to stop the invite mechanism. The Insane demand," as they say Google's head of social Vic Gundotra announced on the service.
“We need to do this carefully, and in a controlled way.”
What I saw on Google+ to feel the difference was the Circles;- Friends, Family, Acquaintances and following. I had trouble in the beginning and it took me a while before I became comfortable with it. Personally I didn't find it interesting compare to Facebook, which is so open less complicated or congested. Now that everyone is going gaga over this latest social media, I only hope if Google capitalizes upon 600+ million Facebook users.
Being an online leader, the pressure was always on Google to make its presence in the social networking media, where most of Internet users hang around. Google anyway will find it hard to digest the popularity of Facebook, and let's wait and see how it develops with Google+.
